We had a couple of athletes compete in the South of England AA Combined Events Championships at Lee Valley this weekend.
In the ladies event, Emily Maltby picked up a silver medal. Emily improved her personal best for the 60m hurdles running a club record time of 9.4s, she cleared 1.41 in the high jump, threw 7.84m in the shot putt and jumped 5.00m in the long jump all before running a tough 800m time of 3.06. A successful if a tiring day for her scoring 2,605 points.
Devon Spencer also competed in the ladies event and won herself a bronze medal. Devon achieved a number of indoor personal best performances. She ran 11.06s 60m hurdles (pb), cleared 1,29m in the high jump, threw the shot putt 7.45m (pb), jumped 4.78m before running a 3:01.70 (pb) giving her a points personal best of 2,140.
