Here's match organiser Dave Knighton's top line report from the penultimate Harrier League race of the season.

Tonight's Harrier League resulted in a win for Mick Davies (Eye) 11 seconds ahead of Ellen Ellard (Eye) with Nichola Gibson (Peterborough) 14 seconds further back in what turned out to be wet and windy conditions.

The fastest time of the night was set by Mark Popple (Stamford) in a time of 16:51 and this means Drew Warne's (NVH) time of 16:47 from November remains the fastest time for the series. However the female fastest of the night was by Maggie Skinner (Stamford) of 18:59 and therefore becomes the fastest of the series.

The overall position is very tight with three people within a point. Thanks to Mick Davies' victory tonight he regains the lead he held back in November with Alison Shepperson (Bushfield) and Charlie Brookes (PACTRAC) both a point behind. Unfortunately Charlie is on holiday when the next race is scheduled and would not be able to challenge for the Series title.

The Aged Graded battle is closely contested by 4 athletes Barbara Johnson (Yaxley) leads with 80.05% with Terry Fone (Eye) on 79.66% a 7 second improvement required if Barbara does not improve, Jim Morris (Stamford) requires a 11 second improvement on 79.31% and Nicky Morgan (NVH) 78.61% requires a 12 second improvement.

Find attached tonight's results.

Cheers
