Smashing shot put summer

Lawson Capes set a new UK record for his age group in the shot, hitting an incredible 15.05m at the final open meeting in Sandy, Bedfordshire. Meanwhile, older brother Donovan wrapped up his summer representing England in the SIAB Schools International in Derby, finishing in fourth having thrown 15.78m. Donovan finished the year ranked third in the UK. Both boys are now preparing for moving up an age group next season with a hard winter programme. Read the report in full
